Many would view the use of such a program as an invasion of privacy. Their mobile calls, text messages, and emails are for them and may include information they dont want anyone else to know. They should only have to share such information if they choose too. By accessing this information, you are taking that choice away from them.
Placing spy software on someones phone without telling them you are doing so can cause emotional problems between you and your friends and family. They may feel they arent being trusted, or they may no longer trust you when they find out about it. Unless you are willing to let them spy on your phone calls and other information, it isnt right to expect them to be okay with you spying on theirs.
People in romantic relationships may want to think twice about putting such software on their partner or spouses mobile. In most cases use of such a program wouldnt be recommended. However, there may be some occasions where it seems warranted. Parents of children and teenagers with cell phones may choose to use such software to keep track of who their kids are speaking with, what they are talking about, and where they are going when they are not under direct supervision.
